Chase The Lion - From Dreaming To Doing

James 2:17 Faith without works is dead.

Every dream is created twice.  The first creation is mental. every invention, every business, every building, every painting was conceived in the right -brain imagination first.  It is nothing more than a single cell idea at this point.  The second creation is physical.

We all have dreams.  It could be to be a doctor, an artist, a mathematician, a musician, to be a friend. What are we doing to accomplish those dreams?  We can dream all we want, but unless we do the hard work it takes to get to where we should be, our dreams will be nothing more than a dream, a plan. Artists must pick out a medium and practice at it, musician and instrument, to be a doctor you need to go to med school. To have a friend you need to be a friend to someone, visit them, talk to them.

God isn't going to say to us "Well planned good and faithful servant." He will say "Well done, good and faithful servant."

What do I need to start a dream?

To make pottery I needed a kiln, potters wheel, clay, glazes, and lessons.  I also needed to make pottery until I got good at it and learn from my mistakes. To play the drums I needed a drum kit, lessons, and practice.

What am I waiting for?

My problem is when I was growing up on a farm I had to do my chores before I could play.  Pottery, art, and music are what society told me was play.  I need to realize they are my work, my chores.  I also need to practice more than I do.

Consider this my push.

Where do I stand on the road to execution of my God-given ideas?

Making and selling my pottery   I need to promote it more online such as Instagram and  Facebook.  I need to take more time on the potter's wheel to make larger and or decorative bowls.  I need to let my imagination run wild. To not be afraid of what online people might say about it.  There will always be a critic out there, but they are few and far between.

Playing the drums.   Practice more or play it more.  Do not be afraid to play in front of people or make a mistake during a lesson.

2 Corinthians 3-6
